AN ANIMAL charity is looking for a kind-hearted benefactor who can donate a washing machine.
St Annes-based Cat Rescue Blackpool Wyre and Fylde is struggling after its trusty old washing machine – used for washing cats' bedding – broke down.

And they are wondering if anyone who has an old washing machine they no longer want can donate it to the cash-strapped cause.

In addition, two cats, described as "well cared-for", were abandoned in a sealed cat-carrier near stables on Marton Moss over Bank Holiday weekend.

Charity chair Christine Ashton said: "Could we ask the owner to let us know - in complete confidence - a few details of the cats? In particular, we would like to know their names and ages and whether they have been neutered."

Also, new foster homes are needed for abandoned cats. If you can help in any way, contact (01253) 721268.
