The Fylde Coast has always attracted shows and performances, with tourists coming from miles around to see the many productions at the Blackpool theatres, as well as those at Lowther Pavilion.
Fylde residents have also been avid fans of amateur dramatics over the years, and have entertained locals by treading the boards in dance, drama, comedy and tragedy.
Here, Reflections looks back on the performers - young and old, hobbyists and professionals, who have made Fylde-dwellers laugh and cry over the years.
Among the photographs featured this week are local children performing in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves', a production of 'The Wizard of Oz', and prodcutions by the various drama organisations which have existed since the 1950s: Fylde Coast Players, the Lytham Operatic Society and the St Annes Congregational Drama Society.
There is also photograph of children from the Stewart Academy of Dancing, performing a display in 1952.
Do you remember seeing or performing in any of these local productions?
Or have you got any photographs to submit for Reflections?
If so, we'd like to hear from you.
