FYLDE Council leader John Coombes will lead a delegation to Westminster next week to stress the authority's cash concerns about concessionary bus travel for pensioners.
Mr Coombes and council officers will meet Transport Minister John Heeley on Tuesday, November 25.
The leader says the Government's proposals could mean council tax payers in Fylde 'picking up a £400,000 bill'.
He said: "There may be some benefits of the scheme, more people visting the coast and out town centres. This I welcome, but the stark truth is Fylde residents are paying for them to return home, not the Government."
