Three injured in Freckleton smash

THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash in rural Fylde.
Two cars were involved in the incident which happened on Kirkham Road, Freckleton, near to the junction with Hillock Lane, shortly before 5pm today.

One of the cars was left on its side with two people trapped inside.

Fire crews rescued a man and woman from the wreckage and the casualties were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment

A woman who had been driving a Mini involved in the crash was also taken to hospital.

It is at this stage not known how serious the injuries were.

Both Hillock Lane and Kirkham Road were closed while the accident was cleared.
