TWO men were injured when a new 10mx10m two-storey building collapsed in Kirkham on Tuesday.
Three fire crews rushed to the scene of the accident - a building site at the junction of Blackpool Road and Freckleton Street - after receiving the emergency call shortly before 12.20pm.
One man was trapped by his lower limb and was released by firefighters using high pressure air bags.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital suffering from crush injuries to lower limbs where his condition is described as comfortable.
The other man suffered slight back pain.
The building site belongs to Ice Blue Developments, Cottam Lane Business Centre, Cottam Lane, Ashton, Preston.
The firm is constructing a £6m new residential property scheme there.
The Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
