Training award for care worker

A CARE home is celebrating after one its staff received a training award.

Marieanne Gawn, senior carer at The Old Vicarage residential care home in Freckleton, was presented with the award at the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership award ceremony.
The presentation was made by Dymph Knowles, director of operations at the LWDP, at Farington Lodge, Leyland.
The ceremony was for care sector staff who have used the Lancashire Plan and exceeded in their training.
Care home manager Lorraine Mynott and all the staff are very proud of Marieanne's achievements.
Lorraine said: "Marieanne has worked extremely hard over the past 12 months, overcome many issues and achieved an excellent outcome with her excelling in her training."
