WESHAM residents are being urged to have their say about the future of the town.
Questionnaires have gone out to every household, around 1,400 homes, about the Parish Plan.
A Medlar-With-Wesham Parish Plan is being put together to outline an action plan for the future of the area and it has now reached an important stage.
Residents and businesses are being asked to give their views to help shape the plan.
Following feedback from a public meeting last year to launch the production of a Parish Plan, a questionnaire has now been produced.
It went out last week to all homes in the parish and to encourage participation residents completing and returning it will be entered into a free prize draw for Marks and Spencer vouchers.
Completed surveys can be dropped off at the Co-Op Late Shop, Wesham post office and the Community Centre post box.
A separate questionnaire is being issued to all local businesses to seek their views on developing the future economy of the town and parish.
This is a chance for people to have their say about what they want to see in the future and John Westmoreland, secretary of the Medlar-with-Wesham Parish Plan Steering Committee, said: "We are trying to encourage as many people as possible to respond to the questionnaire."
The Medlar-with-Wesham Parish Plan will identify local concerns and opportunities for development of the town and parish, and set out the long-term vision for the future, based on the opinions of the community.
The Parish Plan will include an action plan to be carried forward to support town revitalisation, regeneration and improved community facilities, with the overall aim of making Medlar-with-Wesham a better place in which to live and work.
The Parish Plan is funded through Community Futures which promotes and develops social, economic, cultural and community activity in and beyond Lancashire, working with voluntary groups and in partnership with public bodies.
